Suggested Uses

• Baking and cooking: used as a leavening agent that reacts with acids in batter mixes, producing carbon dioxide so mixtures rise and expand during cooking.
• Splinter removal: add a tablespoon of baking soda to a small glass of water and soak the affected area twice a day.
• Teeth whitener: crush one strawberry and mix with 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, spread onto teeth for five minutes, then brush and rinse. Use no more than once a week.
• General cleaning: mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to form a foaming mix, apply to a damp cloth and clean.
• Carpets: sprinkle evenly over the carpet using a sieve, leave for 3-4 hours, then vacuum.
