How to Use

1. Wash the pot and add a small amount of water, about one-third, then cover with the lid. This first part of water helps prevent dry burning, which can lead directly to bottom leakage.
2. Light 3-5 pieces of smokeless carbon or organic carbon and place them in the middle fire tube. Once the lit carbon is burning, fill the fire tube with carbon. A full fire tube usually lasts 2-3 hours, depending on the quality of the carbon. Carbon can be ignited on a gas or coal stove, or by using alcohol and other combustion methods.
3. After the fire is going, place the pot on the table with a water pad on the desktop.
4. Add seasoning and water to the pot to fill it. The soup can be heated or hot water used to help it come to the boil faster, around 10 minutes.
5. If the pot is slow or the boiling water is too powerful, use the fire to control the size of the flame.
6. Copper hot pot note: copper has many characteristics. Copper encountering water will show water stains, and spots that form over time will restore to bronze. To avoid spots, keep the pot dry and tidy. When using, first add water to about one-third, then cover the lid with ignited carbon inside the fire tube. After use, remove the burning carbon and leave a portion of the soup or water. Once the pot has cooled, pour it out before cleaning to help prevent the pot from drying and leaking.
